Adopt-a-Senior Program (InterGeneration Star
Program)
The Club adopted the senior citizens of the Douglass Community Center. This inter-generational program is bridging
the communications gaps between the two groups. Students must stay in contact
with their senior with phone calls, cards and visits. Some of the students have
also agreed to do some minor chores and errands to help their senior.
Museum Docent Program
Club members were trained to be docents at the Plano Art Centre. They volunteered
hours to help at the Centre.
CITYHOUSE Canned Food and Toiletries Drives
Students provided food and toiletries to this shelter
for abused run-a-way teens.
Book Drive
The Club donated library books to a school in South
Dallas.
Free Clinic
Students learned to assist the medical staff at a clinic which caters
to the poor and uninsured.
National
Links National Walk-a-thon
Students and parents participated in this annual national walk-a-thon to raise money for health and hunger.

Global
The Preventorium Orphanage, Port Au Prince,
Haiti
Students, realizing how fortunate they are, give up a portion of their allowances during
the holidays to send money to help support this orphanage of 120 children in
Haiti. The orphans' parents have either died of HIV/Aids or tuberculosis. The
Club members are learning even though they have problems there are others with
problems greater than theirs.
Tuwohofo-Holly International School, Village
of Akotokyir, Cape Coast, Ghana - West Africa (New program) - Students donated school supplies to assist this
school.
