Objectives
· Listen to students and teach them to
respect themselves and others. Self-esteem is continuously raised to new
levels.
· Teach the students the importance of education
and how to study. Special tutoring programs provide assistance for students
in problem subject areas. Help prepare students for district, state and pre-college
testing programs.
· Prepare students for college. Assist
students with essays and applications.
· Work with students in truancy, harassment,
diversity issues and policies and anger/stress management programs. Teach students
how to avoid becoming victims to teen pregnancy, gangs, alcohol and drugs and
other anti-social behaviors.
· Prepare students to enter the workplace
by teaching them how to write resumes, dress appropriately and interview effectively.
· Teach students to be aware of other people's
suffering by performing local, national and global community service projects throughout
the year.
· Teach students to be responsible
for their actions and to face the consequences of those actions.
· Help bridge the communication gap and involve
parents in the development of their student through the organization's programs.
